This piece feels like a dichotomy, the bold colors of wonderland mixed with a dark piece of WV history. There’s a sadness that permeates places like the T-A asylum. A place where I recently found out that my great uncle spent a good portion of his life, for what appeared to be schizophrenia. I think it’s important to look at these places for what they are, neither hiding nor revering them for the souls that lived there.
